Terms and Conditions – The Hair Atelier
These terms and conditions apply to all appointments, treatments and services provided by The Hair Atelier, located at Gasthuisvest 15 Zwart, 2011 ET Haarlem. By making an appointment, you agree to these terms.
1. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all services, treatments and activities offered by The Hair Atelier, both in the salon and via our website thehairatelier.nl. Deviations are only valid if agreed with you in writing.
2. Making appointments
Appointments can be made through our online booking module, by phone or via any communication channel we offer. An appointment is only confirmed once you have received an email or SMS confirmation.
Please make sure to arrive on time. In case of late arrival, the treatment may need to be shortened or rescheduled.
3. Cancellations & no-show
Cancelling or rescheduling is free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.
For cancellations within 24 hours, or if you do not show up (no-show), we charge 50% of the cost of the booked treatment.
In case of repeated no-shows, future appointments may require a deposit or may be refused.
4. Prices & payment
All prices include VAT. Prices may change; the price applicable at the time of booking is binding.
Payment is made directly in the salon by debit card or cash, unless agreed otherwise.
For longer treatments, a deposit of up to 50% of the total price may be required. If payment is not made, statutory interest and collection costs may be charged.
5. What you can expect from us
We work professionally, carefully and with high-quality products. Before the treatment, we inform you about the treatment, the expected results, the costs and any relevant risks.
Our stylists only perform treatments for which they are trained and qualified. If a desired treatment is not achievable or is not considered responsible, we will inform you honestly and recommend a suitable alternative.
6. What we expect from you
We ask you to provide correct and complete information about your hair, scalp, allergies, medication or any other factors relevant to the treatment.
Please inform us beforehand if you are allergic to certain ingredients or have recently undergone medical treatment.
We also expect you to attend your appointments on time or cancel them in time.
7. Liability
The Hair Atelier performs treatments with the utmost care. Damage caused by a demonstrable error on our part will be compensated up to the maximum amount paid under our liability insurance.
We are not liable for damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by you, or where the result differs from expectations without there being a fault in the performance of the treatment.
Following our advice and aftercare instructions is your responsibility.
8. Complaints
Not satisfied? Please let us know as soon as possible, preferably by email. We aim to find a suitable solution.
Please submit your complaint preferably within 7 days, including a clear description and, where relevant, photographs.
If we cannot resolve the matter together, you may refer the complaint to an independent or legal body.
9. Personal data & privacy
We process your personal data carefully and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy legislation.
We use personal data for purposes including the performance of our services, making and managing appointments, customer communication, payments and administration.
To make and manage appointments, we use Salonhub as our appointment and point-of-sale software.
Personal data is only shared with third parties where this is necessary for our services, where you have given consent or where we are legally required to do so.
With your consent, we may use analytical and marketing technologies, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, for website analysis, conversion measurement and advertising purposes.
Analytical and marketing technologies are blocked by default and are only activated after you have given consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through Cookies: settings at the bottom left of our website.

10. Intellectual property
All texts, photographs, designs and other content belong to The Hair Atelier or are used with permission. Copying without written consent is not permitted.
11. Disputes
Dutch law applies to all legal relationships. In the event of a dispute, the competent Dutch court has jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
The Hair Atelier reserves the right to modify these terms. The most recent version is always available on our website.
